Details

Inner Compass Well-being seeks to improve the usability and functionality of its Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system specifically tailored for paramedical professionals in the mental health sector. The current system lacks certain features that could enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of mental health practitioners. The goal of this project is to analyze the existing EMR system, identify areas for improvement, and propose enhancements that align with the specific needs of mental health professionals. This project will provide learners with the opportunity to apply their knowledge of health informatics and user experience design to a real-world problem, fostering a deeper understanding of how technology can support mental health care. Key tasks include conducting user interviews, performing a usability analysis, and developing a set of recommendations for system improvements.

Deliverables

The project deliverables will include a comprehensive report detailing the findings from the usability analysis and user interviews. Additionally, a set of prioritized recommendations for system enhancements will be provided, along with mock-ups or prototypes illustrating proposed changes. These deliverables will offer actionable insights for Inner Compass Well-being to enhance their EMR system for mental health professionals.
