Project Examples

Requirements

January through March, 5-6 teams of students will each spend 200 hours over 11 weeks developing a software product for your organization. At the end of the term, you will select the site that best meets your needs.

Based on your input, students will build a secure web application that creates business value for your organization.

Teams will develop software in progressive two-week increments. At the end of each increment, you will attend a one-hour zoom session to provide feedback to guide the next stage of development.

Project examples include, but are not limited to:

  • A website for a non-profit that includes the ability for potential volunteers to apply online and admin users to log in and review applications.
  • A website that allows people in the community to offer, view, and bid on auction items
  • A web application that lets users register for after school classes online and lets teachers print rosters and track attendance.
  • An online database that allows staff at an outreach agency to keep track of their clients and client meetings and view demographic summaries of the clients they serve.
  • A website that allows instructors to create virtual "flash cards," and students to practice those cards
