Project Examples

Requirements

Starting this April, a student-consultant group will spend 200 hours over 11 weeks developing a software product for your organization.

Based on your input, students will utilize a wide range of technologies and tools to build a secure web, mobile, or desktop application that creates business value for your organization.

Teams will develop software in progressive two-week increments. At the end of each increment, you will provide feedback to guide the next stage of development.

Project examples include, but are not limited to:

  • An application to streamline data analysis.

  • A website for the Kent Food Bank that includes the ability for potential volunteers to apply online and admin users to log in and review applications.

  • A web application that lets users register for classes online and lets teachers print rosters and track attendance.

  • A shift scheduler for caregivers.

  • An online database that allows staff at an outreach agency to keep track of their clients and client meetings and view demographic summaries of the clients they serve.

  • A mobile app that lets students practice English language skills.
